I was talking with Rich from Kristin Kahle and he gave me some great inside info on the designer. See Below. Kristin Kahle began designing her belts 6 years ago in La Jolla, California after taking a sewing class. Kristin, a former New York stage actor, had recently moved to San Diego to help care for her mother, who was battling Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Kristin’s mother, a well-respected local Interior Designer, had passed along the gift of good design and an artistic mindset to her daughter. Her first line- fabric belts made of vintage material- landed her in a few boutiques and inspired her to expand the line into leather. Now carried in over 400 boutiques across the world, her line includes a stunning array of colors and styles not found in any other line of belts. The Kristin Kahle line is still manufactured entirely in southern California using only the finest quality materials, including Italian leathers, French silk, and buckles made from solid brass, silver, and wood. The belts have received recognition from publications as diverse as Lucky, Marie Claire, Self, Elle, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and The Wall Street Journal. Whether it be dressing up an outfit or tying it all together, the Kristin Kahle line of women’s belts are beautiful and diverse enough for any need.
