Need a fun summer project? Create your own torn-up masterpieces. Ingredients: An old pair of jeans, fabric scissor and a cheese grater. Cut a slit or small triangle into the bottom of your jeans by using a fabric scissor. Use a handheld cheese grater and start with a light pressure with slow movements until you start seeing some of the distressing.

Have you heard about Hem Gem?  Hem Gem is a new product that is made to temporary hem your jeans. Very easy to put on and they are reusable. Studs are still in so why not funk up your denim, you know you will look fashionable. You could always try Hollywood fashion tape if you want to go with a subtle, simple temp hem.

Treat your jeans with a little extra tender loving care. Hot water and jeans don’t mix, NEVER dry your jeans and DON'T use bleach as it may cause the denim to shrink and fade. Wash your jeans separately to avoid any kind of bleeding onto other clothes. If your jeans are too big, have them professionally altered.  Don’t try to shrink them in the dryer. People have experienced them shrinking unevenly.
